Emmerson Resources owns a Carbon-in-Pulp ore processing plant at Warrego (35km North West of Tennant Creek), together with supporting equipment.
The plant has a maximum throughput capacity of approximately 30 tonnes per hour, or 300,000 tonnes per annum. Gold recovery rates of 98% on a quarterly basis have been achieved by prior operators. The plant was last operated in December, 2005.
The Warrego plant was originally commissioned in 1992 and was decommissioned in 1999. The plant was recommissioned in 2003 following refurbishment by the then owner Giants Reef Mining Ltd.
